American Armoured Foundation Tank Museum located in Danville, VA. Besides an amazing display of over 100 armored vehicles, they also feature an elaborate, miniature indoor battlefield for 1/16 scale Remote Control Tanks! Participants travel from many states to join the group event held several times a year.
The tanks are fitted with an Infra Red battle system which, when the tank receives a hit, disables it from firing and moving for a number of seconds. Each tank has a finite number of lives before it is permanently disabled until the end of the game.

How to improve this: all participants cannot see the field, but wear POV
goggles from a camera on their own tank. Each round fired makes a loud noise,
and a real muzzle flash. Each tank shoots a small paint ball. You cannot stay
stopped for longer than one minute.
But is there really anything such as "concealment" when all the tank commanders
are hovering over the battlefield at the equivalent of 250 feet?
¡°Takes 2 years to get comfortable doing this¡± all I seen we¡¯re tanks driving
around on a map
I feel like this would be really fun if everyone was blackout drunk.
This seems like an activity that is way more fun on paper than it is in practice
I had a model tank once and used to send it trundling slowly down the garden to
annoy our cats who were sunning themselves, but they cleverly used the tactic of
redeploying themselves in impassable terrain under bushes or among rocks to
defeat my blitzkrieg.
The tank battle might have been a little better if there was a ,well, tank
battle. Over.
"¡°once the tanks are hidden in the trees and start firing it¡¯s gonna be hart to
spot them¡±
proceeds to describe in detail each location of each tank"
don¡¯t know why I was expecting miniature sh*t getting blown up...
I'm certainly glad that man at the beginning warned us of how noisy it was going
to get when they started all those tanks ( 0:31 ). Those electric motors really
throw some decibels around.
They could attach cameras to their tanks, and use VR goggles which restricts
their vision to tank levels. Radio comms can be done to coordinate movement
against enemy.
I'd sit in the bleachers and throw rocks, pretending I was artillery.
Looks like a really cool idea, maybe someone should follow through with the rest
of it
This is a level of nerd that I didn¡¯t know existed.
"People in the 80's : we are going to see flying cars in 2020.
Now: 8 million people watching toy tanks battling it out on YouTube."
So cool! I didn't know this was a thing. The reason that there were no shooting
sounds coming from the tanks because they had infrared cameras that shot lasers
at each other.
"Awesome hobby right here. It's like a combination of tabletop miniature games,
history, RC cars and team-based tactical pvp combat.
Can't even imagine how much effort it took to make the battlefield."
¡°It¡¯s gonna be very loud!¡± Tanks start up: wrrrrrr
This is type of war every country should go with. So peaceful.
