*Please Read before COMMENTING* There was No sound in cameras when we shot this. The sound effects were dubbed in because of the original music copyrights of the full length video. If you don't like the effects, stop watching right now or turn your sound down. Like I said...there was NO sound in any of the original movies. With special permission from my long time friend, Mike Mas, I have re-mastered the sounds of his famous video "Magnificent men and their Models".
The Video is available from him in high quality with original sounds and is very entertaining. It's worth every penny.
Mike Mas was the first person credited with inverted heli flying, the first helicopter landing and the first helicopter tail stand landing.
He is the Publisher of RC Rotory Modeler magazine and has always been a leader in the field.
Visit his site for more and join me on his forums for further information. He makes many instructional videos.
Thanks for watching, please be sure to subscribe as more is to come.
Thanks.
Dave Herbert
Too funny, Dave! I was amazed to see that first heli pulled out of the water.
That was a Horizon 60! I had one of those, but never got it to do anything more
than skitter around in ground effects (no gyro!)
Thank You for sharing this. You are one COOL person. Best wishes, happy building
and flying! :) EDIT: And, thank you for the audio warning, and I admire your
attitude, in the phrasing. :)
Painful to watch... So much time, material and effort in building.... OUCH! My
brother used to build RC planes and when he crashed, yeah, it was bad.... What a
bummer. Some of these looked like total rebuilds.... :-(
"Enjoyed it!
I really enjoy when RC model crashes & birds gather around it & begin to chirp,
as if they r ridiculing RC's design vs their own remarkable design."
Super compil! Il faut avoir d¨¦ja vol¨¦ au moins une fois pour comprendre la
detresse de tous ces pilotes, bon vols a tous!!!
In a very strange way I actually liked this! Candid Camera used to do this all
the time way back then, and not many complained about that.
Nice vid Dave... I hope there was no casualties =)
Wow another great one. Funny you mention inverted helicopter flight because your
video Gyroscopes for Helicopters made me think back to a few years ago while
flipping through the satellite I saw some amazing inverted helicopter flight and
have always wondered how do they achieve this. I have only seen the red bull
helicopter a BO-105 do a loop and which I believe it is a rigid rotor. Are the
R/C helicopters rigid rotors?
hahahaha, well done friend. love the sound clips! my daughter and i were dying
laughing watching this. how old are these videos, i'd guess 80's or 70's from
the clothes and hair :P
Those sound effects are hillariously funny, you earned your like! :D
"Judging by the added sound effects, you have a wicked sense of humour David. Or
does the video just hide the pain of being there once or twice. LoL.
Hugh
P.S. I hovered the Walkera CHINOOK for over 3 minutes yesyerday and I've only
had it a week.
One small hover for man. More LoL. Mind you, I've 'MODIFIED' 2 sets of blades so
far."
LOL!!! I was expecting real planes and helicopters. This was a riot! Thanks!!!
"Rc plane crashes now: ˇ°Some duct tape should fix that lolˇˇ±
Rc plane crashed then: ˇ±ˇWell, there goes my entire life savingsˇˇ±"
It really hurts. You spend a lot of time makin? all these beautiful r/c models
and get broken up in seconds even if you?re a pro in this.
I love the sound effects!
gosh, i nearly cried at the sight of that first kid pulling his helicopter out
of the water.
lol love the sound effects. crashing is all part of the hobby, you know?
the common problem with the p:51's is the landing gear was to week so said my
grand pa of the RAF
Love it I think I have attempted each of these highly technical landings with a
helo except the water landing. I even tried it with a UH1M IRL once!!!! Thanks
for the chuckles Sparks, <<<X Stumpy
this is great keep up the good work :and keep it between the clouds
